Victoria Albrektsen (Northern Lights Yoga)
We are so honoured to have Victoria leading our exciting Pop-Up Glamping Weekend of inversions in Greyton, Western Cape (25-27 November 2016).
Here a brief Bio and some info about her teaching style.
Born under the Sign on Virgo in a Northern Island of Norway, Victoria discovered South Africa on a whim in 2009. She fell madly in love with it and has been based in Stellenbosch ever since.
After a decade mostly spent on a solo yoga journey back in Norway, she eventually followed her true call and enrolled to YogaLife Teacher Training in May 2014 in Cape Town. She became a Vinyasa/Power Yoga eRYT instructor and since then she has been freelancing in Stellenbosch.
She also deepened her studies and obtained a prenatal yoga and yin yoga certification which brings up the softer side of her practice.
Victoria’s style of teaching
“When I teach I try to be a vehicle for energy to flow through me to include every person joining my class. I have a passion for curiosity and freedom of movement and try to approach each class with a bit of playfulness. I do believe every student is a teacher and remain open for that in my teaching. Life can be tricky and we have a tendency to over-complicate things. In my classes I wish to make life less complicated, free flowing and fun. We embrace our curiosity and I encourage anyone attending a class to be open for who they are. To spend the time getting to know themselves a little bit better. To dear ask the questions that they are holding. To make space and open new doors.” - Victoria
