BIO - Linda Teruzzi Anderson My first memories of yoga belong to my early childhood in a little tiny town in the vicinities of Lake Como, Italy. My uncle’s old bedroom had the Om sigh on his door. I was very curious and keep on asking about it. Granma and the rest of the family didn’t really know either and seemed a bit suspicious of that exotic sign with doubtful origins. I kept quite.
In the 90s yoga sneaked again into my life through my Italian School teacher. I loved her! She was a new age feminist who used to wear long gypsy skirts and color her hair with natural dyes that faded into a funny green shade. She used to have the whole class drawing Mandalas and meditating before going home She also had promoted Peace weekend workshop, what I obviously didn't miss. Her non-conformism also seemed suspicious to most of the parents.
In year 2000 I moved to the New Jersey, USA, and Yoga came once again into my life. There, one of my most inspirational and beloved human being in this planet gifted me with a light purple Gaiam yoga mat. I still use it daily and it followed me in every and each of my travels.
My first BIG travel was to the States. I was 19 and it was a life changing experience. Travelling is magic, and so it's yoga. Since then I haven't stop practicing or travelling. Back in Italy I enrolled in "Scienze Turistiche" at IULM University in Milan, worked as a Cabin Crew, moved to Dubai, visited 35 countries, met a South African guy, relocated with him and our dogs to Australia, worked for various Tour Operators, and finally settle down in Cape Town, where I have completed my 200HRS yoga teacher training and started my Serenity Bootcamp.
Through Yoga & Travel I hope to inspire, serve and gift as many as possible.
